ABOUT PAUL MCJONES

Paul is a founding member of the Software Preservation Group, where he created archives for Fortran, Lisp, Algol, and other programming languages. He has been developing software since 1967, including functional programming with John Backus, database recovery in IBM System R, and operating systems at U. C. Berkeley, Xerox, and Digital Equipment Corporation. In 2009, he and Alexander Stepanov wrote Elements of Programming.
