Cincinnati Milacron, Inc.

Cincinnati Milacron has been in the machine tool business for about 125 years. With the arrival of digital computers in the 1950s, the concept of numerical control of production machinery emerged. Numerically controlled machine tools obviously require a control system and CM marketed the CIL/4000 and CIL/2100 for process control of all kinds.

Although they made several different models of varying capabilities, they were not successful in this industry and eventually returned to their strength of manufacturing industrial tools such as milling machines, albeit all computer-controlled. They are still in business.
