Dude, I somehow got two copies of "fidelity electronics classic"'s manual. I'd definitly give you the extra copy, but I don't know where you live, if you could post it on the forum I'll mail it to you, free of charge!

Yet why are there no sufficient computer programs that can routinely defeat humans on a level playing field in today's games: first person shooters, real time strategy games, Civilization, even Magic the Gathering?

I don't believe for a second that Deep Blue was the actual victor. The records were hidden from Kasparov's team. That is equivalent to a foul and the game is lost! The victor was Kasparov.
