Description:
Programmer Richard Lang is shown here playing his Mephisto chess computer. Mephisto was one of strongest programs throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Initially written for a 6502 microprocessor running at only 4MHz, Mephisto later won all five of the World Microcomputer Chess Championships between 1985 and 1990 due to Lang’s efficient programming.
