The brochure is divided into the following subsections: "Introducing;" "UNIVAC 1004 II Card Processor;" "UNIVAC 1004 III Magnetic Tape System;" and "Optional Equipment." The section on the UNIVAC 1004 II lists time speeds for card reading, printing, card punching, and the memory cycle. On pages 3 and 4, there are two pictures of the UNIVAC 1004 III, one of which is a close-up of the magnetic tape. Several pieces of optional equipment are recommended for use with the 1004 II and 1004 III: the 1004 Card Punch; the 1004 Read Punch; the 1004 Auxiliary Card Reader; the 1004 Data Line Terminal Type 1 and Type 2; 1004 Paper Tape Reader; and the Paper Tape Punch.
