Description
In 1959, Fairchild Semiconductor co-founder Jay Last assembled a team to use the planar process invented by Jean Hoerni and the on-chip interconnection concept patented by Robert Noyce to build the first monolithic integrated circuit (IC). In this oral history four members of that team (Isy Haas, Lionel Kattner, Jay Last, and Robert Norman) recall the development of Fairchild Micrologic, the first commercial family of digital integrated circuits.
