Description
John Landry describes how he got into the software business and became one of the earliest employees at McCormack & Dodge (M&D). He describes how he led the team that developed Millennium at M&D and his views on the advantages of small development teams. He talks about how M&D was internally financed until they finally sought venture capital in 1982 and how the company was subsequently sold to Dun & Bradstreet. He also discusses his participation in ADAPSO and the Massachusetts Software Council and contrasts the benefits he derived from the two organizations.
