In the years 1988-1994, venture capitalist and historian James L. Pelkey traveled around the world, conducting a total of eighty-five interviews as research for his hypertext book, A History of Computer Communications: 1968-1988. The transcripts from these interviews contain a wealth of knowledge from early computer communication pioneers and give way to the development of present-day information sharing systems. Interviewees include Paul Baran, Vint Cerf, Robert Kahn, J. C. R. Licklider, Donald Davies, Roger Evans, Charlie Bass and Ralph Ungermann, Bob Metcalfe, Audrey MacLean, and Ken Krechmer.
