Description

From University Video Communications' catalog:

"The architectural and technological choices for designing concur-rent supercomputers are discussed. First generation systems based on the hypercube architecture are described. Examples of real world concurrent applications validate the premises of concurrent supercomputing, but also point to limitations in first generation systems. These limitations are discussed, and specific technological improvements being implemented in second generation systems to overcome them are presented. Recent research findings and technological advances which are likely to have an impact on third generation systems are reviewed. Areas where further research is required for the successful implementation of third generation systems are suggested."
