the viewing tubes. Verso: Paper insert: "The AN/FST-2 itself-- two long rows of wires, tubes, circuit boards and memory coils. As one is turned off for maintenance, the other takes over, insuring 24-hours-a day, 7-days-a-week flow of information to the Direction Center. Inspectors use two of four scopes (above center) which are maintenance tools used to scan wave shapes received by radars and processed by the Burroughs equipment. Key points within the data processing system can be checked via these scopes to assure operators that proper information is reaching the Direction Center.
