This report describes the B6500 Electronic Data Processing System - a new Burroughs 500 System. A large scale system with capabilities falling between the intermediate scale B5500 and the very large B8500, the B6500's normal mose of operation is multiprocessing and remote time-sharing under full operating system control. Compatible with the B5500, the B6500 makes direct use of that system's advanced, proved-in-use software and powerful hardware/software system design.
