Object is a portion of a card reader, comprising the jogging shelf, input hopper, and a part of the feed path, all on a heavy cast metal base. Also loose with it, a lucite card weight on a deck of IBM cards in the hopper. Also attached to the power cord by a zip-tie, a polished steel plate with roller that was probably part of the feed mechanism. Evidently the cards fed 12-edge first, then were moved sideways through a column-by-column read head.
