Object is a plugboard for an IBM machine, identified as the 604 by a paper slip stuck under the number cover. (Boards of the same dimension fit several IBM machines.) The board had a paper cover giving the plug designation, the part of which is held in by plug wires remains but the lower part has been torn off.
