Bob Wilson’s background includes senior positions at General Electric, Rockwell and Collins Radio before he became CEO of Memorex in 1974, succeeding Larry Spitters, the co-founder. As Memorex CEO, Wilson supervised several difficult product transitions, many management reorganizations, and retired in 1980, a year before Memorex was acquired by Burroughs in 1981.
