There is a pedistal base, which is slightly narrower than the monitor. The side view of the pedistal is in the form of a rough parallelogram and hold the monitor about five inches above the base. The monitor sweeps upward from back to front. On the lower left side of the front is an engraved Hewlet-Packard logo and the model number. There is a vent. In the middle of the vent toward the front of there are four screw driver holds for adjustments for the display. On the back of the base there is a series of narrow rectangular vents. On the lower half of the monitor there is a plain metal panel that holds four d-shapped connectors. To the left of that is an on/off rocker switch, and below that an IEC three pronged plug. Above the metal panel There is a dark brown plate that carries labels for the connectors and other information.
