From transcript: "Jim Morgan, one of the longest tenured CEO's in the Fortune 500, discusses his career as Chief Executive Officer of Applied Materials. Originally from the Midwest, Morgan received his engineering and MBA degrees from Cornell University. Morgan came to Silicon Valley and initially worked in a venture capital firm. In 1976, he joined Applied Materials as CEO. Morgan describes the growth of the overall semiconductor industry along with Applied Materials through the 1980's and 1990's. Applied Material's growth and success in the Asian markets, especially Japan is discussed in detail. Applied Material's later expansion into fields like production of LCD's and solar energy panels is also described. Finally, Jim Morgan discusses his predictions for future market growth and globalization as well as his long term involvement in philanthropy including the Nature Conservancy."
