Description
Richard (Dick) Lyon invented a forerunner of today's optical mouse around 1980 at Xerox PARC. He went on to work on speech recognition at Schlumberger, then on hearing and handwriting recognition at Apple. In
1997 he co-founded Foveon and was instrumental in developing their layered-pixel image sensor. Since 2006 he is working at Google where he has designed Street View cameras and worked on sound analysis.
