After Dark Flying Toaster Model, Berkeley Systems, 1989This toaster with wings is an homage to a “Flying Toasters” screensaver package for the Apple Macintosh computer. The screensaver became so popular that branded merchandise, as well as many imitators, followed. The image led to a lawsuit by the band Jefferson Airplane, who claimed it copied the cover art from their album Thirty Seconds Over Winterland.
