The object is a metal unit housed in a blue wooden case (open in both the front and the back). On the front of the object are 3 metal panels on which are mounted a display (4.5 in wide by 3.5 in tall) and various knobs and connectors. Sample strings on Dymo labels attached to the front of the object are "GERSTEIN LINC," "ZACKS," "INTENSITY," and "FOCUS." Also on the front of the object is a sticker with a list of dates when the heads were cleaned; the dates range from 1973 to 1977. On the back of the object are a fan and 3 connectors (one labeled "FOR 117 V"), a fuse, and a slide switch.
