This artifact is a stand alone cabinet with a number of connectors on the back. The front is a swing open door that reveals eight slots for large circuit boards. Four of the slots are populated with circuit cards containing a number of components. Three of the cards have ribbon cables connected to them.The back of the unit has 16 sockets for cables plus one for power. There are plugs inserted in four of the sockets, all with the cables cut off a few inches from the plug.
