The front of the workstation has a button latch under the front vent, which opens up the front panel revealing the tape and CD drives. Next to the drives is a switch for "ON," "GOOD," and "STANDBY." On the front of the hinged panel is a name plate reading "Cray Research Inc." as well as a diamond shaped name plate reading "OS-E." There is also a round red sticker with numbers on it. The front of the panel is covered in venting slots. Both sides of the work station have venting slots as well. The back has card and power supply modules. Two of the printed circuit board modules have CH1 and CH0 handwritten on them. There is a configuration record sticker on the back and a cord that is connected to one of the modules and to the top of the machine. The unit is on wheels.
