Description
Douglas Baney has been working at Hewlett-Packard and its successors in the instrument business, Agilent Technologies and Keysight Technologies, since 1977. As an engineer he developed microwave and lightwave test equipment, upconversion visible fiber lasers, and a widely used method for measuring optical amplifier noise figure. As a manager at Agilent Labs he initiated and guided the development of the laser mouse and its transfer to production. Most recently he launched research into photonic integrated circuits at Keysight Labs.
