After a number of production management and quality control positions, he was appointed by S. Shindo, President of Mitsubishi to take responsibility for the Kita-Itami Works and to improve the technology and quality of Mitsubishi’s semiconductor products. He was subsequently responsible for the conception and construction of a fully automated semiconductor manufacturing plant in Saijo, Japan in the 1980’s.
