Description

This set of photos includes images of the PDP-10 (KL-10) delivered to several education institutions and a TSS/8 system at Costa Mesa High School.

PDP-10 installations were at the Costa Mesa School District, UC Berkeley Molecular Biology Department, and Stanford's Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL).

The photos include images of the PDP-10 in use at SAIL by Artificial Intelligence pioneers John McCarthy and Les Earnest, as well as Gareth Loy using the PDP-10 to create a musical score. Images include shots of the Stanford Cart, Stanford Arm, and Orm robots.
