This document is a pdf version of the original typed 1970 history of Tymshare Inc. The history is written by Becky McNown, an early and longtime Tymshare employee who had a number of responsibilities there both at headquarters and in the field from very early days to the late 70s when the company was large and had acquired a number of other companies. Report to the Computer History Museum on the Information Technology Corporate Histories Project Time Sharing Sector. Becky wrote this history in August of 1970, when the company was only five years old. She personally interviewed all of the key management people involved in the company to that point, including Tom O'Rourke and Dave Schmidt, the founders. Becky personally knew each of the people interviewed and so was able to get very candid and straightforward details about the first five years of Tymshare Inc.
