Description

The Smaky 100 followed the Smaky 8 (1982), at the same time the Macintosh succeeded to the Lisa. The Motorola 68000 (8 MHz) was linked to 128KB of memory (sxtension connector), a faster 250 kbps Z-Net coaxial bus for diskless workstations. The screen was graphic, with 640 by 480 pixels. The Psos multitaksing operating system was developed by Beat Brunner, aged 18 in 1983, and is still in use on all Smakys. The compatibility of the software, from the Smaky 100 to the 400 and the Smaky "infinite" (emulation on a PC) has been a good value for customers.
