Judy Estrin

Judith L. Estrin, is Chief Executive Officer of JLABS, LLC, (formerly Packet Design Management Company, LLC), a privately held company focused on furthering innovation in business, government and non-profit organizations. Estrin served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems Inc., a developer of networking products, from 1998 until April 2000, and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Precept Software, Inc., a developer of networking software of which she was co-founder, from 1995 until its acquisition by Cisco in 1998.

Estrin is the author of "Closing the Innovation Gap: Reigniting the Spark of Creativity in a Global Economy" (McGraw- Hill; Hardcover), a general interest book that challenges national, academic and business leaders to work together to make America competitive again.

Estrin holds Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and computer science from UCLA and a Masters in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where she was involved in the early development of TCP/IP protocols. Estrin sits on the board of directors of Federal Express, Sun Microsystems and The Walt Disney Company.
