Steve Capps

Member of the Macintosh Development Team, Apple Computer

Steve Capps was codesigner of the Macintosh Finder and much of the Mac's graphical user interface. Noted also for his work on ResEdit, Capps continued to refine the Mac OS interface through the 1980s. He then joined the Newton group and served as chief architect of Newton OS 2.0. Capps' other work ranges from music software like SoundEdit to user interface designs for Microsoft Internet Explorer. He was named an Apple Fellow in 1994.
