Originally from Salzburg, Austria, Andrea worked in international marketing
positions at Apple Computer and its software subsidiary Claris before
joining the then tiny start-up company Palm Computing as marketing director
in February 1993. In 1998, she was appointed acting Vice President of
marketing after Palm's leaders-Jeff Hawkins, Donna Dubinsky, and Ed Colligan-left
Palm to start a new company Handspring. A marketing strategy consultant
since 1999, Andrea is the co-author of "Piloting Palm. The Inside
Story of Palm, Handspring, and the Birth of the Billion Dollar Handheld
Industry."
