Gary Malone joined the Computer History Museum in 2004, bringing with him more than ten years of progressive responsibility and experience in development fundraising in the areas of prospect research, individual/annual giving and major gifts. Malone has over seven years of experience in planning and fundraising for major capital campaigns. As a member of the executive team, he participates in all facets of the Museum’s activities and expansion efforts.

Prior to joining the Museum, Malone served as director of prospect research and later served as individual gifts officer for Stanford University’s Medical Development programs. He was also associate director of major gifts for the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health. For over ten years, he also held the title of director of investment responsibility for the Stanford Management Company.

Malone received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Stanford University and was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Service to Stanford University.
