As Media Archivist, Judy Strebel oversees all physical and digital aspects of the photographs, moving images and audio collections, including physical organization, storage, cataloguing, digitization and preservation.

In addition to these duties, Judy manages the Museum's Oral History efforts, including coordinating and scheduling interviews, equipment and camera operators, as well as organizing transcripts, digitizing tapes and cataloguing in the collections database.

Prior to joining the Museum, Judy worked around the Bay Area as a contract archivist. At the Computer History Museum she processed paper materials related to the Digital Equipment Corporation's PDP-I computer. She spent time at the Gap Inc. Archives working with the Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy collections, and has also been employed as a processing archivist for the State of California's Department of Industrial Relations, and as a volunteer archivist at the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Historical Society. Judy is a Certified Archivist and obtained her Master's degree in Library and Information Science from San José State University in 2005.
