Lynne Van Tilburg brings to the Museum over 11 years of development experience having served as Development Manager for the National Kidney Foundation in Foster City and the Director of Development for Recording For The Blind & Dyslexic in Palo Alto. As development Director of Recording For The Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) for eight years, Lynne was not only responsible for fundraising, she also served as the organization’s acting Executive Director for approximately three years while the search for a permanent ED was underway. Prior to her career in development, Lynne and her husband successfully launched and managed their own energy consulting business for 15 years. Originally after graduating from college she was a contract negotiator for an R&D firm in Palo Alto for several years.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego. Lynne has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 1998.

In her spare time she enjoys being at her property in the Sierras, wake boarding in the summer months and is a long time season ticket holder with the San Jose Sharks.
