As Software Archivist, Sara Lott is responsible for processing archival software collections, including physical organization, cataloging, and access.

Sara began working at the Museum as a contract archivist and she’s delighted to have made the move to preserving cultural heritage permanently. Prior to her work with the Museum, Sara worked as a contract archivist for a National Historical Publications and Records Commission grant project focused on documenting the AIDS epidemic. She has also worked as a community college reference librarian and a cataloger for a local history and genealogy library.

Sara is a Certified Archivist and completed internships at the Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, AZ and San Jose State University Library’s Special Collections. Sara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and San Jose State University with a master’s degree in Library and Information Science with an emphasis in archival studies. Sara is a member of the Society of American Archivists, Society of California Archivists, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Fraternity and Beta Phi Mu National Library Science Honor Society.
