Senior Archives Manager
Sara Lott is the Senior Archives Manager at CHM. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Museum’s archival collections, including goal setting, processing, preservation, access, and digitization.
Sara began working at the Museum as a contract archivist in 2007. She quickly moved to the permanent position of Software Archivist, then Archivist for Reference and Processing, Senior Archivist, and eventually her current position.
Sara is a Certified Archivist who has previously worked in historical societies, public, and academic libraries. Sara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and San Jose State University with a master’s degree in Library and Information Science with an emphasis in archival studies. She completed internships at the Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, AZ and San Jose State University Library’s Special Collections. Sara is a member of the Society of American Archivists, Society of California Archivists, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Fraternity and Beta Phi Mu National Library Science Honor Society.
