As Archivist, Reference and Processing, Sara Lott handles all incoming reference requests and is the lead archivist for processing the Museum’s archival collections.

Sara began working at the museum as a contract archivist in 2007. She quickly moved to the permanent position of Software Archivist and eventually her current position.

Sara is a Certified Archivist and completed internships at the Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, AZ and San Jose State University Library’s Special Collections. Sara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and San Jose State University with a master’s degree in Library and Information Science with an emphasis in archival studies. Sara is a member of the Society of American Archivists, Society of California Archivists, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Fraternity and Beta Phi Mu National Library Science Honor Society.
