William Harnack joined the Museum in 2005. As Registrar at the Computer History Museum, William is responsible for accepting and adding new donations to the Museum's collection. He works closely with dedicated volunteers to catalog and preserve the Museum's collection of physical objects.
William grew up in Sunnyvale, California, and earned his BA in History at San Jose State University. Opting for a change of scenery, he earned his Master's Degree in Museum Studies at the Winchester School of Art, part of the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. While in England, William was an intern at the University of Oxford's Ashmolean Museum and worked on a collection of 15th to 19th century portrait miniatures.
In his spare time, William enjoys computer games, cooking, and following professional baseball.
