Dave Rossetti is retired from Cisco Systems, where he was most recently vice president of university relations and research, responsible for research collaborations at universities and institutions worldwide. He held a wide variety of executive and engineering positions in his 17 years at the company, in positions ranging from leading product software development, to business unit management, to leading Cisco's Advanced Technology Center. He was with the company from 1995 through 2011.

He was formerly vice president of software development at Strategic Mapping, Inc., a geographic informations systems (GIS) startup, acquired by ESRI. Before that, Mr. Rossetti was an early employee and spent 11 years at Metaphor Computer Systems holding various product development and management positions. His expertise in software stems from his 40 years of product development experience, and in computer architecture extends to his dissertation research in electrical engineering at Stanford University.

Rossetti also serves on the National Council of the School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and on the Council of the Yosemite Conservancy, the philanthropic organization for preserving, protecting, and enhancing Yosemite National Park. His passions include bicycling, especially mountain biking, mechanical puzzle collecting, and woodworking.
