Dr. Ike R. Nassi

Having recently retired as EVP and Chief Scientist of SAP, Dr. Nassi is now the founder of TidalScale, Inc and a Professor of Computer Science at US Santa Cruz. Prior to joining SAP, Dr. Nassi has helped start three companies: Encore Computer (symmetric multiprocessors), InfoGear Technology (internet appliances and services – acquired by Cisco), and Firetide (wireless mesh networks). He has held executive positions at Cisco Systems, Apple Computer, Visual Technology and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Ike is a founder and an active Trustee of the Computer History Museum. He is on the Industry Advisory Board of the IEEE Computer Society, and Viewpoints Research. He has been a visiting scholar at Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, and is currently a research affiliate MIT/CSAIL.
Ike holds a Certificate for Distinguished Service from the Department of Defense and was a member of the DARPA's Information Systems and Technology group. He graduated with a B.S.in Mathematics, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
