Description

Black and white image of the Geheimschreiber with its cover removed. This was a German cipher machine developed by Seimans Company to modify a teleprinter to produce enchipered messages. This photograph was a part of talk by Donald Davies at the Digital Computer Museum.
Verso has black stamp " Copyright Enquiries to The science Museum". Also paper sticker " Geheimschreiber, ( used in WWII by Germany)
