Black and white photograph. This is a picture of the UNIVAC computer system at the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, BUREAU OF THE CENSUS. In the foreground, a woman sits in front of of a terminal, typing. To her right is a large typewriter which has issued a long strip of paper that is billowing onto the floor. In the background, a man writes at a chalkboard labeled "UNIVAC TIME SCHEDULE". The time appears to be 4:25 on the clock in the right of the picture. "Fig. 3-7" is written in green pencil in the center of the verso. "164" is written on the top righthand corner in black ink.
