Description

This is a black and white a man on the left side of the image holding a screwdriver with his right hand and looking at one of the vacuum tubes. Text on verso side reads "Picture 25 A view showing the gas-filled tubes that control the operation of the D.C. power supplies of the ENIAC. The right hand cabinet contains the power supplies for operating the test bench, a unit that is used for repairing and testing plug-in chassis without interfering with the operation of the machine itself. Mr. Leo Clinton, maintenance electrician, is shown checking the operation of the thyratrons, which can be seen glowing.". Written in pencil on small white round label on original protective sleeve was "1108-11".
