Description

This is a color image of the Cray 2 computer at National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) in the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). The Cray computer is on the left side of the image and has red panels at the bottom with clear windows on the top portion showing the interior. The cooling machinery is on the right of the image and has red colored bottom panels surrounded by a black casing. There is clear glass panel above with liquid flowing through it. Behind the Cray 2 computer is William Harris, standing on the left, and Joanne Ravelli who is standing on the right. Neither of them are facing the camera. They are consulting a red binder. Behind the two people are other computer equipment. Light is coming from the overhead lights and from the direction of the camera. Written on the yellow post it note is "William Harris and Joanne Ravelli with the Cray 2 at the Magnetic Fusion Energy Computer Center (now NERSC) at LLNL.".
