This is a color image of an FFT processor board in front of a Zenith Data Systems terminal and a LSI 11/23 computer. Verso of image has a label with text which reads "MCSA PROTOTYPE-MICROCODE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM A wire-wrapped FFT processor board (foreground) is shown with the LSI 11/23 computer (left) and terminal. The microcode instructions which will enable the processor to perform a Fourier Transform are generated in the Stanford DEC 20 computer using the Stanford Algorithm Manipulator (SAM) program. The LSI 11/23 is used to "down load" the microcode into the processor's memory. In this way new, and possibly more efficient algorithms may be tested quickly.". Written on the bottom right corner on verso side of image in black pen is "AC81-0263-2".
