Dave Schmidt describes his career with GE and the founding of Tymshare in partnership with Tom O'Rourke. He talks about developing the time-sharing operating system on the SDS computer at UC Berkeley and the acquisition of Dial Data, the first of Tymshare's acquisition which established its growth by acquisition strategy.
