Killian, Joseph oral history

Joseph Killian was chief engineer at IMS Associates, Inc (IMSAI), a maker of microprocessor-based personal computers in the mid-1970s. Their main product, the IMSAI 8080, is discussed in detail, as are its roots in the earlier work of MITS, Ed Roberts and the Altair 8800. The trials and achievements of a rapidly growing company are made evident, as are some of the ‘lessons learned’ from IMSAI’s experience during the early boom period of personal computing.
