Description
In November 1971, Intel ran an advertisement "Announcing a new era in integrated electronics" for the MCS-4 chipset, including the 4004 single chip CPU. This oral history by key members of the development team describes the conception, design, and marketing of what is now widely regarded as the first commercial microprocessor.
