Personal computer (PC) software workshop : systems software

The focus of the meeting was on PC systems programs. But, because of the audience mix, much of the time was spent in discussing performance considerations in producing viable applications. The view was that Lotus 1-2-3 set a performance standard and an IBM PC compatibility standard that producers of other applications had to match for them to be acceptable to corporate purchasers.
