ECH0-IV teleprinter

Object is a teleprinter encased in a walnut cabinet with a glass viewing window in the lid. Box is lined with foam sound insulation which is in good condition. Typewriter mechanism has 26 typebars, offering uppercase letters plus punctuation. A large roll of paper is in place which would have fed through the platen and exited through a slot in the lid, teletype-style. Back panel of cabinet is a sheet of aluminum and the power supply circuits are mounted on this. Other circuits on PCBs can be seen inside. A very hefty drive motor drove the print mechanism. A very complex arrangement of cams and sector wheels on the left side presumably selected the type bar. A data cable with 18 pins is attached. No interior or exterior label is evident.
