The DECpack RKO5J disk pack drive is a simple rectangular box. It has clear plastic 16 inch wide door at the top of the front for inserting/removing a disk cartridge. Below the door are two rocker switches labeled: 'RUN LOAD' and WTPROT. There are also 8 status lights, including a red FAULT indicator. There is a rack slide on each side. The back has an attached power cord and a fuse on the right side near the top. There are two different power requirement labels. On the left side of the back, a missing door covers six plug-in modules. There is an empty seventh slot.
