Physical objectDescription
The IBM Type 632 Electronic Typing Calculator was introduced in 1958 (per Wikipedia checked 1/28/2015). This object is the card punch that housed the main logic elements. It is basically an IBM 026 keypunch, but without a keyboard, and with a large gate of relay logic added. The complete system would have an IBM typewriter and perhaps other parts.Pieces found with the object are bagged separately including a vacuum-tube-type pluggable circuit module, a plastic box, and a small metal label. The air filter was removed and discarded. It appeared to a standard 19 x 6 1/4 x 1 inch furnace filter.
