Description

Object is a 5.25 inch hard disk drive in a sled. The top cover is loose to expose the drive mechanism. The donor email reads in part,

'This was on eof the last 5 1/4" disk drives that Quantum was manufacturing. After these [sic] family of drives the company began designing and manufactured the 3 1/2" form factor. This drive is a model Q280. Three platters (disks) platted [sic] sidea with six heads on a rotary actuator. The speed of the drive was ~3600 RPM.'
