The DECsystem-IO50, which typically costs $650,000, ($14,000 per month), will be DEC's primary system for the commercial data processing market. It exceeds the power and computing capabilities of an IBM system 370/145. The DECsystem-IO50 is one of five computer systems introduced today by Digital Equipment Coorporation."
